A Photo Of the Scarbro Elementary School taken in
1970. This Photo was taken of the old Scarbro Elementary School,
while vacationing in WV in 1970. I attended school there until the
end of the 8th grade, in 1953. It was then that my Father moved our
family to to Ohio. I remember the School for Black Children, we use
to go there in the evenings and play soft ball. We would go to the
Scarbro Theatre on Saturdays, and watch the Cereal Cowboy movies,
they continued from one Sat. to the next. Lots of good memories of
those times and the area. Thanks for this site." |
